I’m on the cover of this month’s Mindful Magazine! Check it out :)

Dear Community,

OK, so this is big!

Starting today, if you head to your local Whole Foods or Barnes and Noble, you just might see my face smiling at you, in the checkout line.

Yep, right there next to the miniature sea salt dark chocolate squares.

I’m on the cover of this month’s Mindful Magazine!

Here’s why this is exceptionally cool:

1. More than a cover. Open up the magazine and you’ll find a gorgeous, 10-page spread about my work! The layout and design are beautiful, and there’s a big excerpt from my book, The Art of Money, all about how to un-shame around money — including my fave body-based tool, which can get you some relief in 60 seconds or less.

2. I had the BEST photographer. I was able to pick my own photographer for the shoot, so of course I got Danielle Cohen: my dear friend and the genius artist behind my book cover photo. I was nervous about this shoot, but she did a beautiful job! I’m so grateful for the final cover.

3. Whole Foods and beyond! This is kind of a big deal, you guys! You can find Mindful Magazine at Whole Foods, Barnes & Noble, and online, here

(We’re also starting to hear that smaller health food stores are carrying Mindful Magazine as well!)

4. Mindful money. Yes, yes, yes. Because my work is so much about body-based awareness and emotional depth, I always feel a little out of place in the mainstream personal finance scene. But I feel absolutely at home with Mindful Magazine, a non-profit “dedicated to inspiring, guiding, and connecting anyone who wants to explore mindfulness—to enjoy better health, more caring relationships, and a compassionate society.”

Many years ago, I was on the cover of Experience Life Magazine. While I was absolutely honored, I had a hard time being made up to look like someone I wasn’t (I didn’t feel it captured the authentic me).

This time around? I got to have a lot more say and that felt important to me. I got my own, wonderful photographer who made me feel comfortable — and made me look like me.

And — dream come true — a big, gorgeous excerpt from my book is on the inside! I’m beyond thrilled to see it.

I get so excited, thinking about the folks in the checkout line who might stumble across my work, this way.

Mamas with kids bouncing around in their carts. College kids grabbing a quick dinner before cramming for a midterm. Hard working execs stopping for cod fillets on their way home.

All of these folks will have totally different money situations. Different Money Stories. Different gifts and challenges, when it comes to money. Different definitions for what financial “success” and “maturity” look like.

But they could all use a little less shame and a little more mindfulness around money.

So … how ‘bout you?

If you’d like the best of my money un-shaming teachings — in high gloss format with my smiling face cheering you on — you might pick up a copy of the October issue of Mindful Magazine.

(Just remember to grab a chocolate square or two, while you’re out.)

With my dearest wishes,

P.S. You can get your copy of Mindful Magazine at Whole Foods, Barnes & Noble, or on their website. If you happen to see it anywhere else, I’d love to hear! Snag a pic and tag me on my Facebook or Instagram!
