Dear Money Adventurer,

Today’s the day that our Art of Money program opens for registration.

When we open the program for registration, I have a tradition of sharing a free money mini-series of real-life tools and loving encouragement to support and guide folks in their money journeys.

I’m still very excited to share this series with you, starting tomorrow, but first I wanted to share a few thoughts.

We’re now heading towards the third year of a global pandemic with another virus variant causing a spike in cases yet again (sigh), while climate change induced disasters are happening all around us.

Life right now is…well, it’s A LOT to hold, isn’t it?

And here’s the thing: over the last year, due to the ongoing pandemic, I’ve had a lot of time to think about the role of The Art of Money methodology in a larger context.

After a lot of deep soul searching, I’ve realized that this work, the Art of Money work that I teach in my program, is tried and true.

It’s been battle-tested for the last 20 years and gives people the tools and practices to help navigate the ups and downs and all-arounds.

It’s an approach that brings more compassion, savviness, and empowerment into our relationship with money.

It’s a method that helps in good times and bad, and through some of life’s most challenging transitions.

This work gives the people who practice it an essential, solid foundation to stand on, which is so valuable when all the stresses of life make it feel like the ground is shaking.

This year marks the 10th year of running the Art of Money program. Over 5,000 people have gone through the year-long journey with us, and at this point, you might think we’ve got things the way we want in the program and that we’re just hitting the “repeat” button. Only…we’re not.

Every year we adapt and change the program based on what’s happening in the larger Art of Money audience, and in the larger context of the world, so that new members have the tools they need to face the challenges of the current moment.

For Art of Money 2022, we’re making some changes to the program to bring you ultra-practical timely tips and emotional insights tailor made for these times we’re in.

The foundation of the Art of Money program and methodology will remain the same as it has in years past.
That foundation includes Money Healing, Money Practices, and Money Maps. It weaves personal finance, couples finance, and creative entrepreneur money teachings into one complete tapestry.

In addition, however, we’re adding many new lessons, guest teachers, resources, and tools based on topics that members of the program have been asking about.

For example, this coming year we’re adding a new batch of lessons on the larger macro money systems, which address things like the wealth gap, social justice investing, redistributing wealth, and many other macro aspects.

We’re also doing some things we’ve never done before in the program, like weekly accountability groups, live Zoom calls, and the private forum conversations…all run by our seasoned, welcoming alumni guides.

And without a doubt, one of the most important tools to help us all through this time is community. Real connections with like-minded people.

Getting through big life challenges is so much harder when you do it alone, which is why the community aspect of the Art of Money program has always been one of the most important pieces of the program.

Given what’s going on in the world right now, though, we wanted to make the community aspect of the program even stronger, while also making the program even more affordable.

We’ve come up with a plan that does both things in one simple brush stroke:

For this registration period, which starts today, as in, right now, you can join the Art of Money 2022 program with a buddy of your choosing and the two of you can join at the discounted couple’s rate…and then split the cost together.

Your partner could be anyone: a friend, a brother, a sister, a spouse, your mom, dad, grandma…literally anyone.

You two can join the program together as AOM buddies and get the rate that we normally only give to couples. That’s win #1.

What this will also do is give you a built-in friend on the money journey, which means you’ll feel less alone. That’s win #2 for you.

The more I think about it, the more I feel like the only way we’re going to make it through these trying times is by sticking together in a community of like-minded travelers.

Okay, before I go here, let me be extra clear:

The Art of Money 2022 is now open for registration for a handful of days.

If you’ve been ready to join the program and start your money healing journey for a while, the door is now open.
And if you’re ready to go, you can see all the details about the program (there’s a lot more to the program than what I mentioned above) and join us for the journey right over here.

To that end, I’ll see you tomorrow, with a brand new series of fresh, piping-hot Money Mochas to warm your mornings.

Don’t know what money mochas are?

They’re bite-sized morsels of financial wisdom, practices, and guidance delivered straight to your inbox to help you grow along your money journey, and your first one arrives tomorrow.

With my dearest wishes,

P.S. You can find out all about The Art of Money program on our beautiful new program page here.
