Some money lessons are trials by fire.
This is one of those stories.
As I emerged from one money initiation two years ago — being audited by the IRS — I stepped right into another: hiring a CFO (Chief Financial Officer) for the first time ever.
And then? I fired him, 3 weeks later.
This wasn’t a gentle, baby step by baby step kinda money learning. It was a big WHOOSH of an initiation. And it taught me a ton about:
- How far I’ve come in setting boundaries.
- What’s ethical and honorable in work-and-money negotiations.
- The “goldmine” of elegance in my business.
- How clear I actually am, on my numbers.
- What I want the future of my work, offerings, and legacy to look and feel like.

P.S. You can now officially pre-order The Art of Money Audiobook!
My Art of Money audiobook will be published with Tantor Media on August 18th. We are so excited to share this news with you as I know many of you have been asking for an audiobook for years. It’s finally here.
There will be a professional narrator reading the book and after weighing the options, I am really thrilled for this. One of the biggest factors was the timing. Because we have a narrator, my publisher was able to make this deal happen and get this to you in record time. I personally have been waiting for this for 4 years.
You can now pre-order via Audible, right here.
