I'm back here again experimenting with these homem I'm back here again experimenting with these homemade "twix bars". I'm on a little hiatus from my galettes and have moved on to figuring this candy bar thing out. But I'll be sure to make the berry galettes whenever I have a guest. This is the third round of making these home made candy bars. And while I'm not vegan or gluten free, this recipe is both. lots of coconut flakes and almond flour for the base. maple syrup + coconut cream + tiny almond butter for caramel middle and then dipped in dark chocolate and I use @hukitchen chocolate to keep sugar levels in check. + flaky salt on top. I freeze them and then have one or two as a snack. I mean chocolate snacking is my jam and has been since I was young. So while I'm still sick, I've been resting, drinking tea, eating a lot of chicken soup and watching way too many tv shows, today I was ready to make something. So I came down to the kitchen and tried these again. Btw: this recipe comes from @halfbakedharvest and there are two versions. I prefer this one from January 2020 with the caramel middle layer. The newer version from this year has a peanut butter middle layer. They are similar I like the caramel one better. So don't get confused like I did. When you eat these, you don't realize but you get chocolate laugh lines on both sides. My husband is enjoying one right now and I just sent him to the mirror to look. These same powerful truths and the profound need for this training led me to create the Mentor Program to offer a safe space for therapists, coaches, and financial professionals to embark on this journey of personal and professional growth. Because you know that money is an emotional subject, but you never learned how to work with your own money emotions, never mind how to help your clients navigate theirs. Because you deserve to be seen, celebrated, and encouraged in your own money journey. Coaches, therapists, and financial professionals have always been part of my programs, even when I was teaching my very first group financial therapy sessions in my living room almost twenty years ago. Now we finally have a place to call our own. I created it so that we could finally have a safe and supportive community to explore the intersection of financial literacy and emotional literacy and dive deeper into this money work. This is how we close the gap: by coming together to cultivate awareness, to share knowledge, and to reimagine what it means to have a healthy relationship with money. Why I Created a Money Mentor Program for Therapist Why I Created a Money Mentor Program for Therapists, Coaches, and Financial Professionals. Every day you go to work, showing up for your clients, holding space for their wants, needs, and desires, helping them navigate the small steps and big choices in their lives, in this moment, or in the big picture vision of the future ahead. So, when your private therapy client dissolves into tears over a recent fight about money with their partner, you focus on different ways they could communicate better and create more space to honor and celebrate their differences. (Because unfortunately, you know you don’t have the tools to dive into the psychology of money and relationships.) Or maybe you’re meeting with a new client, discussing the estate planning process when they start to become visibly anxious and overwhelmed. For all the expertise you bring to helping people craft their financial legacy, you were never taught how to navigate the big money emotions like grief and fear that come up along the way. (This is a painfully common occurrence in your line of work, but you don’t have the words or the training to offer more meaningful support.) Or perhaps you’re in a meeting with a financial coaching client who’s hitting their stride in their business and really making a mark on their industry.
