Questions? Here are some answers.
Q: When does the program officially start, and can I still sign up?
A: The Art of Money community official starts on Feburary 1st (that’s when everyone gets access to the first month’s materials and gets to start connecting with each other). However, our first call is not until February 12th, and you’re still more than welcome to join us over the first few weeks of February. Once registration closes, this program will not be offered again until 2014.
Q: My partner/honey/spouse and I want to participate in the program together. Do we need to pay twice?
A: Thank you for asking! We want to make it as easy as possible for couples to share this journey. You’re welcome to participate together for the price of one. This offer is for committed love partnerships (sending love to your mom, roommate, business partner, and neighbor . . . but this does NOT apply to them.)
Q: I’m in a relationship and my partner isn’t willing to share in this work with me. Will I still benefit from this program?
A: Yes, goodness, absolutely, yes! Even if you’re journeying solo — join. Your clarity and empowerment are yours to claim. And you never know — your honey may well catch a glimpse of your transformation and decide to join you down the road.
Q: I’m an introvert. Will I be forced to participate/share/show up more than I’m comfortable?
A: You are most welcome to this community — and we’ll make every effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible, and help you know that this is a safe place. It’s a big community space, and you can engage as much — or as little — as you like. Sit back and watch. Listen. Witness. Be as loud or quiet as you need. Share your stories or keep them to yourself. We trust you know what’s best for you. And we’re here if you need help along the way.
Q: I’m an extrovert, a talker, an open book. Will there be enough space for me to get support?
A: Yep. We need your kind too. Remember, 24/7 access on facebook, plus open calls every month to get your questions answered, your process witnessed and your journey supported.
Q: I bet I’m in a time zone (or have a work schedule) that will make it difficult to attend the calls. When will they be?
A: We’re scheduling the calls on different days, evenings, and times to accommodate different schedules, time zones, and international participants as best we can.
Q: What if I can’t make it to one/some/all of the calls?
A: Don’t fret. We’re recording every call for you; they are yours to keep forever. And you’ll always have the opportunity to email questions for Bari and the guest teachers if you won’t be there live. Even if you’re not on the call, you won’t miss a beat.
Q: How much time and energy should I expect to be investing in this program? Can I go at my own pace?
A: There will be two calls each month, each 90-minutes long. You will also receive your “Monthly Missions”, with recommended exercises and explorations. Beyond that, it will be up to you to create the time and space to sit with, practice, and implement everything you are learning. And, to connect with the Art of Money community in our private facebook group. This piece is completely personal, and can truly be as little or as much time as works for you. Like most things, what you put in will be what you get out — but there is no right, or required, way to do this. Everyone will have their rhythm, and everyone will be supported to find, nurture, and accept that rhythm. I will support you in crafting your own journey here! There is an incredible framework as you are ready, and you have lifetime access to all of the materials, to return to again and again. Everything is recorded, which frees you up even more to go at your own pace. Also since it’s a year long program, your energy input will of course fluctuate with your life — and we welcome that.
Q: How many people will be in the art of money?
A: The truth is, we don’t know! Here’s what we do know: there will be a rich, diverse community — and there will be enough love & support to go around. We trust 100% that the constellation of this group will be perfect. Our past groups have been 50- 60 people, but we crafted this program to welcome in many more of you this time. This is not a small, intimate mastermind group (and we’ve priced it to reflect that). However, we do commit to every member of this community – your questions will be answered and your process will be witnessed. Remember, you can email your questions prior to group coaching calls, you can speak during calls, and you can post in the private facebook group any time. I will be in the facebook group, and your amazing community will be there to support you as well! I’m excited to be your guide, and I also know that so much of your learning will happen through each other. That said, if you want to dig into your process with uninterrupted, spacious time where you get my undivided attention, you may consider working with me privately.
Q: I am an old student and I’m already familiar with your work. Will there be enough new material to make it worth it?
A: This work is a lifelong journey. The material you have already encountered will re-appear as the foundation of this experience. However, everything is updated to it’s fullest, most current version. Plus, I’ll be teaching live in our group coaching calls and weekly email love. There are so many new teachings from me, and brand new teachings from the guest teachers. Not to mention, you’ll be in the company of a brand new, and no doubt, stunning community of Money Adventurers. In short: yes, it’s so worth it. We welcome you, veteran students.
Q: I don’t live in the US. Will this program support me as an international member of the community?
A: We welcome international students! This community will have students from all over the world — and we love the richness in that way. 95% of the material is “international-friendly”, if you will. The only pieces that might be irrelevant, or need tweaking for you are as follows: We will be covering bookkeeeping/tracking systems that are only offered in the US, and we’ll also be covering some tax subjects that will not be relevant. That’s it! Know that we will also provide resources for tracking systems you can use in your country — and will make every effort to support you in this way. We’ll do some research for you, and make sure you have what you need.
Q: Is there a money-back guarantee or refund policy?
A: The Art of Money is a non-refundable investment in your relationship to money. We gave this a lot of thought. Scroll down to learn why we’re not offering a refund on this program.
Q: Do I have to use a particular bookkeeping system/tracking tool in this program?
A: No. Instead, we’ll support you in choosing the best one for you. You’ll be guided to make a great decision for you and your needs, for personal and/or business finance. (Choices include Mint, Quicken, Quickbooks, iBank and several more we’ll discuss.)
Q: As soon as I saw this program, I thought “YES! This is what I want and need.” And then I got paralyzed. I’m not sure I can do this and give myself this.
A: All of the paralysis, resistance, and more will be deeply supported and held in this experience. We welcome it, and I can walk you through this tricky terrain. Thanks for being so aware – this will serve you so well in this program!
Q: It seems odd to me to spend money on my relationship to money. Any suggestions for how to make this decision?
A: How astute and thoughtful of you. When facing any money decision, I recommend considering five main factors:
- The Numbers: Do you know if you have enough money right now to make this purchase (this program will help you if you’re afraid to look at your numbers)? Also, brainstorm ways to create $88/month in your life (a few lattes here, scaling back there – it could be more possible than you think).
- The Timing: Do you need this right now? Is your relationship to money calling (or screaming) to you? Have you been asking for this kind of support?
- The Value: Is this valuable to you? If so, how valuable? Are you willing to spend your money to reflect this value?
- The Cost: How much is it costing you to not give yourself this work? Really, how is not doing this work hurting you or your relationships?
- The Intention: Is this a self-loving decision? Are you ready to receive the value of this investment?
If you’re prepared to gently, lovingly hold yourself accountable for receiving the value of this investment …
If you feel empowered, trusting, and loving towards yourself in making this investment …
If you’re prepared to invest not only your money, but your mind, your heart, your time, and your consciousness, as well …
Then everything is aligned for you to receive a powerful return on your investment.
So: Take a deep breath. Check in with yourself. Look at your numbers. Consider the timing. Weigh the value. Reflect on your intentions. Is this your time? Only you can know!

The “Why” Behind Our No-Refund Policy
The Art of Money is a non-refundable investment in your relationship with money. It’s an invitation to listen, learn, connect, explore, and transform.
My team and I thought long and hard about whether or not to offer a “30-day money-back guarantee” or some other sort of refund policy. It didn’t feel right to us to offer one, but in the online learning world, it’s all but expected. We asked ourselves a lot of questions about this and finally recognized it as an opportunity to provide a conscious money teaching — right here in your decision-making process.
Here are our reasons for not offering refunds for The Art of Money:
Reason #1: This is your chance to make a clear, confident money decision. A big part of conscious money work is empowering you to engage every money decision mindfully, lovingly, truthfully, and directly. By not offering a refund for this program, we’re asking you to make the truest decision for you, right now. So check in with yourself. Take a breath. Look at your numbers. Reflect on your intentions. Consider the value. Ask yourself: yes or no?
Reason #2: Everything you need to make an informed decision is right here. Browse the archives on this site and see if my approach to money feels good to you. Does it make sense? Does it align with your way of being in the world — or do you want it to? Do you want more of it? Do the guest teachers for the program intrigue and excite you? Does the format feel like something you’d love? We’ve given you all the details to empower you.
Reason #3: The transformation we’re offering can only be measured by you. If you engage with the entirety of this program — all the coaching calls, exercises, community support, and resources — if you do the deep inner work and implement the practical steps we recommend — we’re confident you’ll experience profound shifts, in your money relationship and beyond. Yet what these look like will be different for each participant. Some of you already have clarity around your numbers, but need help being more gentle and forgiving around money. Others of you might already overflow with financial compassion, yet need help with a nuts ‘n bolts money practice. You might need help recovering from debt — or you may have an overabundance of money that feels equally overwhelming. The shifts you experience are unique to your financial history, situation, and goals.
Reason #4: When you’re all in, you’re all in. This experience will most likely challenge you. It will stir up resistance. It will flow through phases of excitement and grief, clarity and difficulty. Often the biggest breakthroughs come just after the greatest resistance. By denying you an escape route when things get tough, we hope to encourage you to work through your tough spots — whether they come in Month #1 or Month #11. We’re inviting you to be an active co-creator in this experience, to trust the process, and commit yourself to it, for better or worse.
We want to welcome you to this community of kindred money adventurers — and we know the warmest welcomes come when you show up fully, right from day one, knowing this is where you want to be (even if it feels vulnerable/scary/big).
