Meet me at The Boulder Book Store

written by Bari Tessler July 6, 2022

Dear Money Adventurer,

As a lifelong lover of books, bookstores have always been a happy place for me, offering a world of learning, discovery, and the starting point of many a magical journey. Growing up before the era of big box stores, it was libraries and bookmobiles that first captured my childhood imagination. When I was 18, I discovered the wonder of independent bookstores and fell in love with this world of stories, and ideas, and the sense of community I felt there. I’ve been devoted ever since.

As a now twice-published author, my love and appreciation for independent bookstores have only grown. And of all the bookstores I’ve loved, The Boulder Book Store–a favorite of mine for thirty years now–holds a special place in my heart.

I first discovered the gem that is The Boulder Book Store when I was a 24-year-old Master’s student studying Somatic Therapy at Naropa University.

Little did I know that this historic book shop would play a pivotal role later in my life.

When my dream of becoming a published author came true nearly twenty years later, I kicked off my book tour for The Art of Money: A Life-Changing Guide to Financial Happiness at The Boulder Bookstore. That day, another deeply held dream of mine came true as well–to speak at The Boulder Book Store like so many of my colleagues and role models before me. It was a day I will never forget, one full of joy, awe, gratitude, and serious celebration.

With the recent release of The Art of Money Workbook, it seems only fitting that I would return to The Boulder Book Store to share a reading and connect with community in this place that has been a witness to my journey for all these years.

And I would love to see you there!

July 27th at 6:30pm – Boulder Bookstore

If you’re local to the Boulder/Denver area, are visiting on vacation, or you happen to find yourself passing through on Wednesday, July 27th, at 6:30 pm MST, let’s meet up at The Boulder Book Store. (Tickets are $5 (plus a small processing fee), but when you attend the event, you’ll receive a $5 off coupon for The Art of Money Workbook.)

Both of my books will be available at the event, so if you’ve been meaning to pick up a copy of one or the other, or both, you can get a money-savvy deal, complete the set, and I’ll be conveniently on hand to sign them for you!

Already on the Art of Money book train? Grab one to gift a friend or take $5 off a purchase on the day of the event. (Just in case you stumble across a little summer reading list inspiration while you’re there. Not that this has ever happened to me.)

Tickets for this event are limited, so if you want to meet up with me for a mini-money date at The Boulder Bookstore, get your ticket here and let me know you’re coming! You can find me @baritessler on Instagram or tag @BariTessler on Facebook.

If you can’t make it because of timing, distance, or life, but you’re working through The Art of Money Workbook, I would love to hear what you think. You can review The Art of Money Workbook on Goodreads and Amazon, or just take a picture with your Art of Money Workbook and tag me on Facebook or Instagram.

Whether we find each other at The Boulder Book Store, on social media, or just here, in this space together, please know that your support and encouragement mean so very much to me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my community.

P.S. Even if you don’t live nearby, we can still connect. I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite parts of The Art of Money Workbook LIVE on Instagram very soon. This is a brand new way of sharing my books and I’m so excited! Stay tuned…
